I just stumbled upon the case of Charles David Tillsley while researching missing persons from the 1950s, and something caught my attention about the Churchill River where he was last seen. Did anyone else find it strange how the depth and currents were highlighted but not much else? Was it really just the river's nature, or were there other environmental factors at play that day? I've heard that back in the late '50s, the Churchill River area was notoriously difficult to navigate, especially for inexperienced anglers. I wonder if anything was done post-incident to make it safer or if local guides had anything to say about the conditions at the time. Anyone have insights or heard more about other similar incidents in that area?
