Mark K. Cornett was 28 when he disappeared on June 2, 1987, while fishing on Missinaibi Lake in northern Ontario.
At the time he vanished he was about 5 feet 8 inches tall, weighed roughly 168 pounds, and was reportedly wearing blue jeans and a blue-and-white checkered cotton shirt. The lake is large and remote — nearly 40 kilometres long with many bays, islands and deep water — and Fairy Point is a distinctive cliff face with Indigenous pictographs.
Anyone with information about Mark Cornett or the June 2, 1987 trip on Missinaibi Lake is asked to contact the Ontario Provincial Police.
