I’ve been following Lucas Degerness’s case for a while now, and I recently came across something that piqued my interest. Does anyone remember the 2014 call to the MissingKids.ca hotline where a guy claimed to be Lucas? It's such a bizarre twist. What struck me is the level of detail the caller had; it seemed to convince everyone, yet here we are, still without solid answers. I wonder, does anyone know if there was an attempt to figure out the identity of the caller through any follow-up investigation, maybe by checking call logs or anything like that? It’s genuinely frustrating that privacy policies stopped the call from being traced further. I can’t help but feel this was a missed opportunity. The fact that no verified communication has surfaced since then adds layers to the mystery. If any locals or ones familiar with hotline procedures have insights, I'd love to hear more about what could have been done or what's typically possible in situations like this. It's little breakthroughs like these that could potentially lead us closer to finding out what happened to Lucas.
