Has anyone looked into the possibility that Sheryl might have been the victim of a hit-and-run accident? With her rumored travel plans across such vast areas and during the '80s when records might not have been as thorough, it seems like an angle worth considering. Back then, road surveillance was minimal, and a tragic accident could have easily gone undocumented. I've read in some other cases where missing persons were eventually linked to unidentified accident victims. It's a difficult thought, but exploring every possibility might lead to some closure for her family. Has anyone seen if there was a rise in such incidents around that time and area? Would love to hear thoughts on this theory.
