I came across an old Toronto Star article about James Ralph Edwards, and something caught my attention. Apparently, just days before he disappeared, he allegedly mentioned to a colleague that he was thinking of traveling out West. Given that he had already resigned from the TTC, could this have been part of a larger plan? Maybe he intended to start fresh somewhere else, but for some reason never made it. Or perhaps he did leave and something happened along the way. It’s odd that no confirmed sightings or communications from him ever came after that night. Has anyone looked into train or bus ticket records from back then to see if he might have purchased something around that time? It feels like there might be some kind of paper trail, even after all these years. Would love to hear thoughts or theories from anyone who's familiar with the case!
