I've been thinking a lot about the environmental conditions around the DeCew House Heritage Park area at the time Suzanne Frech went missing. I know it's a bit of a long shot, but considering it was late winter, wouldn't the water levels and temperature be pretty harsh? I wonder how much the current weather back then was taken into account during the search efforts. Also, the park can have some tricky footing when it's wet, which could complicate things if she wandered off the trail. Does anyone with local knowledge have insights into how these factors might have affected both Suzanne's situation and the search operations immediately afterward? The contrast between the park's serene beauty and the seriousness of the search has been on my mind, and I can't help but hope these aspects are still being considered in the investigation. Any thoughts or similar experiences from others in that area would be helpful.
