Hey everyone, I've been diving into the Garson case lately and something's got me really puzzled. Has anyone else noticed the unusual state of the boat when it was found? Here's the thing - it was upright on the lakebed and still in forward gear. Now, I get that they're saying it encountered rough waters, but wouldn’t you expect a capsized or overturned boat if it succumbed to heavy waves? It just seems odd that it ended up sitting upright like that, almost as if it had been placed there.
Also, I can't stop thinking about the gear they had on board. You’d think with experienced hunters, safety measures like life jackets would be standard, especially as they were carrying lots of equipment. It's tragic that they didn't have any flotation devices. I wonder if it was a last-minute decision to leave without them or if they felt confident enough about the weather conditions that day. Either way, it’s so haunting how things unfolded. Does anyone else have more information about standard boating practices in that area back then, or if there were any other similar incidents on Moose Lake around that time? This whole part just doesn't sit right with me.
