Hey everyone, I've been looking into missing persons cases, and the disappearance of Lucie Gélinas and Guy Carignan in 1973 caught my attention. Something that's been on my mind is the logistics of the trip they planned. They were hitchhiking from Québec to Vancouver, which is a massive distance. I can only imagine the kind of planning they’d need to do for such a journey, considering it was a different era with no cell phones or GPS. Does anyone know if they had contacted friends or had predetermined stops along the way? It seems odd for them to just vanish without a trace unless their plans were more spontaneous. I wonder if anyone came forward back then with sightings along their intended route—did they stick to major highways or take more isolated roads? I'm curious to hear your thoughts on how this aspect might have affected their safety and eventual fate. ?
