I've been following the Denis Gélinas case from Notre-Dame-de-Mont-Carmel for a while now, and there's one thing that really mystifies me—the lack of public leads or tips over all these years. How does someone just vanish without anyone seeing or knowing anything, especially in a small community where everyone seems to know each other? It makes me wonder about the extent to which people might have been afraid to come forward, or if there's some kind of unspoken code keeping people silent. Has anyone else thought about this? Could there be more to the small-town dynamics here that we're missing?
