Does anyone else recall whether the area around 'Sawmill' or Natamik was particularly muddy or difficult to traverse around March in Cross Lake back in ’94? I was reading about Peter Kenneth Halcrow's disappearance and it got me wondering about the terrain at that time. Given it was early spring, I imagine the conditions might have been challenging, which could have impacted the search efforts and how far Peter might have traveled on foot. If anyone has memories or insights about the community or environment during that period, it might help piece together a bit more context around his disappearance.
