I've been following Sol Han's case, and I keep coming back to the phone call that Huyeok supposedly had with Pastor Sae Yun Lee. This part really bothers me. If Huyeok sounded anxious about finding a place to live, it suggests he was feeling pressured or desperate. But then the next time Pastor Lee called, a different voice answered and claimed not to know him. Why would someone else have his phone, and why would they lie about it? Could this be a sign that Huyeok and Sol were trying to cut off communication intentionally, or is it more likely they were in some sort of trouble? The lack of concrete information about their friends or connections in Toronto makes it even tougher to piece together. It's frustrating how many open questions there still are more than a decade later. What do folks think might have been the significance of this phone call and the change in who answered it? Any chance someone out there knows more about these circumstances?
