Has anyone looked into whether Robert Roy Heard had any pets, specifically dogs? I know it's been a long time, but it seems like if he had a dog, the animal might have stayed near him or returned home, potentially offering clues about the direction he headed. Dogs often have a strong urge to return to their familiar surroundings, and if someone in the area reported seeing or finding an unattended dog back then, it might've been overlooked as unrelated. That area of Eby Township seems pretty remote and rugged, and I wonder if something like this might provide any additional insights or spark new theories, even after all these years. Just a thought.
