Hi everyone, I've been delving into the case of Douglas Henderson and Alexander Korecki, and something keeps nagging at me. Does anyone have more info on the type of canoe they were using? I read it was a 14-foot fiberglass canoe, which should've been pretty stable, especially near the shore, even with the cold waters of Georgian Bay. I've been wondering if there were any reports of defects or issues with this type of canoe around that time? It might be a long shot, but maybe there's a piece of the puzzle here that hasn't been explored yet. It'd be interesting to see if anyone with expertise on canoes or someone familiar with conditions at Big Sound back in the '70s might have insights on what could’ve gone wrong. Hope this might open up some new angles to ponder.
