Jessica Heppner, 21 and from Ontario, was last seen on May 26, 2015, in Paradise, Newfoundland & Labrador. She had flown to St. John’s on May 25 with a traveling companion, Norbert Kasza, and they stayed at the Sheraton downtown. Heppner checked out of the hotel to meet a man in the Topsail Road area and was expected to take a taxi back; she never arrived. Her belongings — two suitcases, a laptop and identification — remained in the hotel room and she had extended her booking for an extra night.
Investigators learned she used two prepaid cell phones registered under false names and addresses. Some of her electronics showed activity after May 26: one prepaid phone was used in Ontario about a week later and a prepaid credit card recorded a transaction in Germany in July 2015. The man she met in Paradise was interviewed and is not considered a suspect. Kasza, who reported her missing on May 29, was later found in the UK and reportedly denied knowing her to a former roommate.
The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary says there is no evidence she was killed and no evidence she is living elsewhere. Her disappearance remains unsolved. Does anyone with knowledge of Jessica’s travels in May 2015 or the Paradise area have information to share?
