Has anyone else considered the possibility that James Arthur Hopcroft might have hitched a ride out of the area the day he disappeared? I know it's been brought up that he had a habit of wandering, but the fact that he didn’t show up at the Queen Street Mental Health Centre this time makes me wonder. What if he accepted a ride from someone who was passing by? It was the late 90s, and getting a lift from a stranger wasn't as uncommon as it might seem today. It's strange that there haven't been any reported sightings from outside East Gwillimbury, though. Could it be that the person who gave him a ride didn’t know he was considered missing? This aspect of the story has always piqued my curiosity because it just seems like a possibility that might have been overlooked back then. What do you all think?
