David Joseph Howlett was last seen at his residence in Paradise, Newfoundland & Labrador, at about 2:00 A.M. on December 3, 2015. Later that day his car was found abandoned near Cape Spear in St. John’s, and that discovery triggered extensive searches of the rugged coastal area.

Howlett was 45 at the time and described as slender, about 5 feet 11 inches and 180–181 pounds, with short white hair, blue eyes, a fair complexion with freckles, and glasses with rectangular lenses. He may have been wearing a camouflage jacket and green rubber boots when he went missing.

Despite searches following the discovery of the vehicle, no trace of Howlett was found. The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary continues to investigate and appeal for information. If anyone knew David, saw his vehicle near Cape Spear on December 3, 2015, or has other information that could help, please come forward.
