Thomas Guy Ronald Jones, 22, was last seen on the evening of February 13, 2019, in Grand Falls-Windsor, Newfoundland & Labrador. He is five-foot-seven, about 125 pounds, with collar-length brown hair and hazel eyes. That night he wore a blue coat, dark jeans and green rubber boots.
According to an acquaintance who was with him in a vehicle behind the old mill on Southside Road, the car became stuck and ran out of gas on a forest road. The acquaintance said he walked back to town for help while Tommy stayed with the disabled vehicle; that was the last confirmed sighting. The vehicle was later located on the forest road but there was no sign of Thomas.
The region was under an extreme winter cold warning. Police dogs, helicopters and ground search and rescue crews searched the area; friends and family also organized searches. The Royal Canadian Mounted Police continue to treat the disappearance as an active investigation.
If anyone was in the Southside Road area on February 13, 2019, or has information about Tommy’s movements that night, please come forward.
