I’ve been following Ronald Matthew Kay’s case for a while, and it never gets easier to think about the fact that his remains have never been found. It's a frustrating and haunting element to the story—his family and community have had to endure so much without the ability to bring Ronald home for a proper farewell. It's hard to imagine what it must be like for them, being stuck in a state of limbo even despite the legal resolution. I wonder if there are any efforts still being pursued to try and locate him. Cases like this always make me wonder how many other families are out there waiting for similar closure. If anyone has any updated information or insight on search efforts, it would be great to know.
