Arthur James Keefe was 31 when he disappeared on April 21, 1980, in Black Tickle, Labrador. He was described as five feet six inches tall, about 165 pounds, with brown balding hair and green eyes. That day he and a friend were travelling by snowmobile when the vehicle broke through the ice and both men plunged into frigid water.
The friend managed to pull himself to safety, but Arthur slipped beneath the surface and was never seen again despite immediate search efforts. He was wearing a parka and boots at the time. The Mary’s Harbour RCMP are listed as the contact for anyone with information.
Does anyone have recollections of that April 1980 incident or knowledge that could help bring closure to Arthur’s family?
