I've been following Emery's case for a while now, and something that has always puzzled me is the usage of his credit cards in California after his disappearance. If Emery was truly in California, why did all activity suddenly stop after a month? It's odd. Were the transactions random, or did they follow some sort of pattern that might tell us more about who was using them or what their intentions were?
I’m curious if law enforcement ever cross-referenced those transactions with surveillance footage or store records to identify a suspect. I know it was the early '80s, and technology wasn't like it is today, but it feels like there's a story hidden just beneath the surface with these credit card transactions.
Anyone have thoughts on why the card activity would just end like that? Could it have been someone trying to throw investigators off? Feel like there's more here that needs digging into.
