Has anyone looked into the possibility of Hélène Laferrière hitchhiking the day she disappeared? I know in the 70s it was more common for people to hitch rides. Her last known whereabouts were pretty vague, and I wonder if she might have tried to catch a ride to a friend’s house or somewhere else. It's chilling to think that maybe someone picked her up under innocent circumstances, but it turned into something more sinister. Does anyone have any information on the typical travel routes around Saint-Sacrement back then, or if there were any reported sightings of her trying to get a ride? It could be a long shot, but sometimes these small details can trigger a memory or lead to a breakthrough.
