I've been diving into the details of Paul Emile Lanteigne's disappearance, and something that's been puzzling me is the condition of his boat when it was found. An overturned boat in the waters of Georgian Bay suggests a sudden capsizing, but what could have caused that? Was the weather particularly rough that evening, or could there have been a mechanical issue with the boat? Given that Paul's shoes were later found washed up, it makes me wonder if he had a chance to swim and attempt to make it to shore. I haven't come across any reports of weather conditions on that particular day. Does anyone have insight or any references about the weather around Georgian Bay on July 19, 1990? It might illuminate what perilous conditions Paul might have faced after leaving the marina.
