Sebastien Lavallee, 39, disappeared in the winter of 2021 after telling his mother on January 10 that he was going for a walk on the lake in the MRC des Deux-Montagnes area and never returned. He was last seen wearing a black coat, dark pants, a white t-shirt and beige and black ankle boots, standing 6 feet 2 inches and about 190 pounds. He left his cell phone at home and there was no activity on his bank accounts, prompting concern and an investigation by the Régie de police du Lac des Deux-Montagnes.
Two days before he vanished he had been released from Saint-Jérôme prison while facing charges of vehicle theft and breaking and entering; his family says those incidents occurred during a toxic psychosis and that he had long resisted psychiatric treatment. His sister thought he might have fled to avoid a psychiatric evaluation that was a condition of his release, and family and a roommate criticized the decision to release him without a stronger support system. If anyone saw Sebastien Lavallee around Pointe-Calumet or has information about his movements after January 10, what can you share?
