I'm curious about the weather conditions on Lake Athabaska around the time when Lawrence Sanger and Thomas Lidguerre disappeared. August can be unpredictable in that region, with sudden storms. Could bad weather have possibly played a role in what happened to them? Knowing the reality of lake travel, especially in remote areas, sudden wind changes or storms can easily lead to boats capsizing, especially if they were in a more vulnerable part of the lake, like the Narrows. If anyone has historical weather data or local knowledge of typical weather patterns for late August in that area, it could offer some insight. Maybe it was just an unfortunate day weather-wise, and the natural elements played a part in this mystery. Thoughts?
