An argument outside the Center Street Station bar in Marshalltown, Iowa, turned deadly in the early morning hours of June 1, 2024. Ramon Alexis Feliciano Nieves, a 41-year-old Hispanic man, was shot after an altercation that began about 1:20 a.m. when a man threw a cup on the ground and was confronted. According to a criminal complaint, the suspect pushed two people, then produced a firearm and fired multiple shots at Nieves. First responders found Nieves with a gunshot wound; he was taken to a hospital and later died.
Marshalltown police, assisted by the Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation, identified 18-year-old Victor Antonio Delgadillo of Marshalltown as the shooter and obtained a warrant charging him with Murder in the First Degree and Harassment in the First Degree. Investigators alleged Delgadillo had been assisted while evading capture; Marshall County Crime Stoppers offered a reward up to $5,000. A 15-year-old male was arrested June 25 on charges of Accessory after the Fact and Possession with Intent to Deliver Marijuana.
The search continued for over two months; authorities later reported locating Delgadillo in Anaheim, California, where an officer-involved shooting on August 9, 2024, left Delgadillo fatally wounded and pronounced dead at a hospital. The investigation was reported to be continuing.
If anyone witnessed the June 1 dispute outside the bar or has relevant information, please come forward.
