Does anyone have any insight into taxi services around Riviere-du-Loup? David Mailloux seemed desperate to get to either Ottawa or into Maine but couldn't afford the fare. I’m wondering if there’s more to dig into regarding any interactions he might have had with local drivers. Could he have tried to negotiate a longer trip in exchange for something besides cash? It’s such a long shot, but maybe someone gave him a ride partway, thinking they'd come back to help him when he got the money. If anyone from the area or with knowledge about the drivers could share some info, that might lead to new ideas! It’s strange he asked about a taxi at all if he had no means to pay straight up. Just trying to piece together any breadcrumbs here.
