Josephine Edna Martin, 58, was last seen in the early morning of November 15, 2015, in The Pas, Manitoba, in the area near the local Giant Tiger where she often met friends. A mother of seven who maintained regular contact with family despite personal struggles including addiction, she went missing in circumstances described as out of character — there were no sightings or communications for more than a week.
She was reported missing on November 25, 2015. At the time she disappeared she was wearing a Columbia checkered jacket described as black and burgundy or red and black, dark blue jeans, black boots, and a black toque. Family members and community volunteers conducted extensive searches in frigid conditions, and Josephine’s brothers, sisters and daughter all took part in efforts to trace her last movements, but searches yielded no clues.
The investigation remains open and the disappearance is a painful, unresolved loss for a large family and close-knit community. Did anyone in The Pas or the surrounding area see Josephine on or after November 15, 2015, or have information that could help her family?
