Hey everyone,
As someone who's been following the Alexander McAuley case for a while, I've been wondering about the potential role those aliases might have played in his disappearance. It's puzzling that he had multiple names like Alec Curry Stewart and David Paul Jones. Could these have been established identities he used long before things went south, or did he perhaps set them up in anticipation of needing to leave his life behind?
The use of aliases suggests he might have had some sort of contingency plan in place, maybe for evading trouble or even starting anew elsewhere. Alternatively, I can't help but wonder if there's a chance he had connections to people under those other identities who could have aided him or posed a threat. It’s just a theory, but considering his high-risk lifestyle, could he have been involved in something where those names were his ticket in or out?
I've also heard of cases where missing persons kept aliases as a way to stay under the radar if they felt they were in danger. Could Alexander have been cautious due to knowing he was in a precarious situation? It's been almost two decades, and no financial activity turning up is honestly so bizarre. He would have had to leave behind everything, so were those aliases just a ruse, or did they serve a bigger purpose in his sudden disappearance?
Would love to hear what you all think about this angle.
