Has anyone else looked into the timeline discrepancies in Shawn McConkey's case? 🤔 I find it so puzzling that there was that delay in filing the missing person report. Why did it take until January 2nd, 2002 for someone to alert the Cobourg police? We know he was last seen on December 20th and the accident happened that same night, but it's like there were 13 days where nobody officially connected the dots, even though his truck was found in a pretty obvious way. Part of me wonders if the holiday season played a role in this lapse. People might assume someone's away or out of touch, especially during those hectic times. But still, a vehicle accident with no driver is surely cause for more immediate concern, right? Could be that lines of communication between the police departments weren't as seamless back then. But for his family, those days of delay must have felt agonizing, knowing that critical time was slipping through their fingers. If only there had been a faster response, maybe there would've been more evidence to follow. It's haunting thinking about how vital those initial hours are in missing person cases. Does anyone else have thoughts on this aspect?
