Has anyone else been following the case of Percy McKenzie? I’ve been reading up on his disappearance, and something that struck me was how familiar he must have been with Lac La Ronge, yet on that fateful day, even his experience couldn’t protect him. It's such a mysterious scenario. It makes me wonder if his decision to venture out alone on a day like July 5, 2002, had some deeper meaning. Was he planning to meet someone on Powell Island, or was that just his usual routine? The fact that no belongings of his were ever recovered is puzzling. Could the currents have carried everything far away, or is there a chance they might still be out there somewhere waiting to be found? It’s haunting to think that an area he likely knew so well might hold the key to solving this without us knowing. If anyone has maps or information about typical search patterns used in cases like this, I'd be interested to learn more.
