Ohanes Melkon, known as Johnny, was 27 when he was last seen on March 28, 2007, leaving his home on 56 Street in Innisfail to buy chips and cigarettes at a nearby 7-11. Originally from Montreal, he had moved to Alberta in May 2005 for work and was employed by a pipeline company in Blackfalds while taking seasonal jobs around Sylvan Lake. He was living with his younger brother at the time.

At the time of his disappearance he was five feet nine inches tall, 161 pounds, with a slender build, brown eyes, medium complexion and either a bald or shaved head (he sometimes had black hair). His family reported him missing on April 3, 2007, after he failed to show up for work and could not be reached. The Innisfail RCMP traced his known connections in Red Deer, Blackfalds, Sylvan Lake, Penhold and Innisfail, but say they have found no links to criminal activity and no confirmed sightings since March 28.

The case remains an active investigation with few solid leads. If anyone knew Ohanes, his movements in late March 2007, or has information that might help, please come forward.
