Was anyone else struck by the fact that Steve Messervie walked out of the hospital without any ID on him? It's so rare for someone to be admitted to a hospital without any form of identification, and it makes me wonder about the background circumstances. Did the hospital have any policies in place for identifying patients without documentation? It seems odd that no one caught this before he left. With his amnesia, it must have been incredibly challenging for him to navigate outside the hospital without any official papers or even a name to go by. I wonder how this was handled and if it contributed to the difficulty in tracking his whereabouts after that day. Anyone have insights on hospital protocols for cases like this?
