Has anyone else heard about the accounts from local hunters around the Hay River area where Howard Metacat disappeared? I've been diving into this case, and it's interesting how there's talk of unusual animal activity reported around the time Howard vanished. Some locals claim there were more sightings of wolves and even bears near the campsites than usual that September. I wonder if this had any connection or if it's just one of those odd coincidences. It's tragic how nature, while beautiful, can be so unpredictable and dangerous. Would love to hear more thoughts or any other stories from this region that might shed light on this mystery.
