I found it puzzling that Jacob's last communication involved a potential trip to British Columbia. Did anyone ever check if he had any connections there? Friends, acquaintances, maybe even job opportunities? BC is vast, and trying to locate someone without knowing their exact destination must have been daunting. It feels like a critical detail that might have pointed to his intentions at the time. Also, is there any possibility he mentioned this to anyone else, outside of family? It could be that someone knows more about his plans than we've been able to uncover so far. Hoping someone out there might remember something useful.
