Hey everyone, I've been following Blake Merril Moorehouse's case for a while now, and something that's been on my mind is the initial widespread reaction within the Richmond community back in '83. I mean, this was before social media or Amber Alerts, so I'm curious about how information was spread during those critical first days and weeks. Did people rely solely on the local news, flyers, word of mouth? It must have been so challenging for his family and friends to organize searches or keep the momentum going without the digital tools we have today. Was there a central meeting point, or did they have support from local businesses or community groups to get the word out? Just trying to understand the dynamics of search and rescue back then compared to now. If anyone from the area or someone who remembers the initial response can shed light on this, it’d be really insightful! Also, if anyone has ideas on how these efforts have evolved with time, I'd love to hear. Thanks!
