I've always found Anne Moran's case so intriguing, especially the part about the potential involvement of a cult. It seems odd to me that her husband would quickly jump to that conclusion. I've read somewhere that around that time in Toronto, there were a few small groups that had gathered some attention for their activities, but I've never seen a clear link mentioned between any of them and Anne. It makes me wonder if her husband knew something he didn't share or if it was just a theory he came up with after she disappeared.
Has anyone else come across information on any specific cults in the Toronto area around 1970? I think understanding the context of the time and what was going on in the city could help us piece together more of her story. Maybe there's something out there that's been overlooked all these years. It feels like this is just one of those threads that could lead somewhere if pulled in the right direction. Would love to hear if anyone has more insights!
