I've been reading old case files, and Edward Nelson's disappearance from Lake Nipigon in '87 caught my attention. I’ve been wondering about the areas south of where he was last seen heading southwest. Does anyone know if there were any particular environmental factors, like submerged hazards or sudden weather changes, commonly reported around South Bay during that time? The sheer vastness of the lake seems overwhelming for search efforts, but maybe there were certain parts of the shoreline that posed more of a risk? Just curious if there were any theories or local insights about the geography that could have contributed to this mystery. Any info or thoughts would be appreciated!
