D’Arrion Johnson, 25, was fatally shot in his Pine Bluff apartment in the early morning of August 27, 2024. Officers responded just before 1:00 AM to the Camelot Apartments at 4001 Old Warren Road after reports of a shooting. Police found the door to apartment 52 forcibly opened and Johnson in his bedroom, unresponsive with apparent gunshot wounds; a Jefferson County Coroner’s Office representative pronounced him dead at the scene. His body was sent to the Arkansas State Crime Laboratory for autopsy.

Witnesses reported seeing one or possibly two masked individuals near the complex around the time of the shooting, and investigators believe those people forced entry and shot Johnson. The motive remains unknown and no arrests have been announced. Anyone with information about the case is asked to contact the Pine Bluff Police Department.
