I recently stumbled across the case of John Patrick O'Connell, and something that's been nagging at me is the little bit of info about his attire when he disappeared. Why would someone who reportedly was depressed and facing substance use challenges take care to wear brand-specific clothing like Adidas and Fila? It almost seems like he had some intention—to meet someone, perhaps? The lack of communication prior to his disappearance adds to the mystery. Was there someone he trusted or someone he thought could help him that day? If the police speculated about the Lower Niagara River, couldn't they also have explored whether he was reaching out to someone for help or support? I wonder if there's something to uncover in that regard. It just seems odd to me that there's this level of detail on what he wore, but everything else seems so vague. Anyone else think this might mean something?
