Houston Jarrett, 22, was killed in a shooting outside a grocery store in Miami’s Liberty City on December 4, 2016. The attack happened around midnight on Northwest 68th Street and 15th Avenue when a group of people approached Jarrett and two others on foot and opened fire. Two other victims, ages 23 and 19, survived with injuries; Jarrett died at the scene.

Surveillance footage reportedly shows three suspects fleeing on foot, returning to a waiting car, and driving away. Friends and witnesses described Jarrett as a good person and noted he had a three-year-old daughter. Miami-Dade Police and Crime Stoppers have appealed for tips, offered rewards, and say no arrests have been announced.
