Wow, the timeline of Theodore Piekarz's disappearances has always puzzled me, especially the gap between 1978 and 1986. Does anyone know if he had family or friends in British Columbia or why he was headed that way? It's such a long journey from Kirkland Lake, Ontario, especially in those days. Given the context around his mental health, it makes me wonder if he was trying to connect with someone or escape from something. If anyone has heard anything about why he chose BC, I'd love to know more. It might give us some hints about his mindset at that time.
