Shanda Marissa Playford, 37, was last seen at about 3:00 p.m. on February 25, 2025, on Melvin Avenue in the Donovan neighbourhood of Greater Sudbury, Ontario. She left her father’s home that day to attend a medical appointment and never returned. There has been no confirmed sighting since and no activity on her bank accounts.

Shanda is described as between 5 feet 5 inches and 5 feet 7 inches, about 150 pounds, with long brown hair often worn in a ponytail and blue eyes. Her father, Kevin Playford, has spoken about her love of family and animals and the challenges she faced; he has taken part in a march and vigil and made public pleas for information.

The Greater Sudbury Police Service says investigators have conducted more than 100 interviews and followed up on tips but have found no verifiable information. Police have not ruled out foul play and believe people with first-hand knowledge may still be able to help. If anyone knew Shanda or has information about her movements on February 25, 2025, please come forward.
