Has anyone else been following the Norman Playter case? I’ve been digging through old news articles, and something that sticks out to me is the letter John MacAulay sent before his death. He claimed his innocence and mentioned an alternative series of events that led to Norman’s tragic end. The RCMP seemed to close the case after his death, but with MacAulay providing potential locations for Norman’s remains, it feels like there might still be pieces of the puzzle missing. Why didn't they investigate those claims more thoroughly? It’s frustrating that there's this unresolved aspect, and his family still doesn’t have the closure they deserve. What do you all think? Did the authorities miss a chance to dig deeper into MacAulay’s claims?
