Guy Monroe Pyke, 70, left his Aitchison Road home in Onondaga, New York on April 2, 1999, telling his wife he was driving to Watertown to visit relatives. He was last seen about 3:00 p.m. that day in his dark blue 1989 Chevrolet Blazer near the 2000 block of State Route 11 in the Evans Mills area. Relatives in the Watertown area reportedly saw him in their driveway that evening, but say he left without making contact.

The Blazer, New York plate FMS867, had a black top and chrome diamond running boards and was never recovered. Family members note he was experiencing confusion and forgetfulness and was scheduled for dementia testing; he also had a heart condition and took blood thinners. Initial concern grew after two days when family reported him missing and searches by air and on foot were conducted, with bulletins circulated in the U.S. and Canada, but no trace of him or the vehicle has turned up.

There is no crime scene or clear evidence explaining his disappearance; theories mentioned include a medical emergency leading to a crash into a remote area or water, or that he left intentionally because of fears about a dementia diagnosis. Does anyone who lived along State Route 11 or drove that route on April 2, 1999 remember seeing Guy or that Blazer?
