I came across Vernon's case while digging through some old missing person files, and something really struck me about it. There's been hardly any media coverage on this, and it's almost as if he's been forgotten outside of those who knew him personally. I find it odd that with all our technologies and social media, his story hasn’t gained more traction. Does anyone know if there were any efforts to set up a dedicated social media campaign or page to get his face and story out there more? A lot of cold cases make headway that way these days, and it seems like a missed opportunity for those still hoping to find answers about where Vernon could have gone. Even after all these years, it seems like there might still be an avenue to explore by giving the story a digital presence. If his family or friends come across this, maybe that's something to consider? Just thinking out loud here.
