I was reading through some old newspapers and came across an article from around the time when Dustin Rhodes went missing. It mentioned that the summer of 1991 was quite rainy in that area, and Gibson Lake had higher water levels than usual. Makes you wonder if the weather played any role in his disappearance or if it affected search efforts back then. I'm curious if anyone knows if there were any specific weather-related challenges during the initial search? Maybe there were areas that were harder to access or search thoroughly because of the conditions. It’s always those little details that might change how we look at the case...
