Hey everyone,
I’ve been diving into Jonathan Michael Riley’s case and something that stood out to me was his skill set. Being an experienced outdoorsman, pilot, and sailor, Jonathan had more survival knowledge than the average person. Yet, even with these capabilities, he just vanished.
It's intriguing and baffling how someone with his background could disappear without a trace. It makes me wonder if there was a specific spot he might’ve planned visiting that wasn’t well-known, possibly around the Bruce Trail area. The fact that his note mentioned Toronto but he left his personal vehicle at home—that's curious. Did he plan to hitch a ride? Catch a train even? It just doesn’t add up.
Given his adventurous spirit, could his disappearance have been more "off the beaten path" than initially assumed? Could there be areas that might’ve been overlooked due to an assumption he would have used more conventional travel methods? If anyone is familiar with the less-trekked sections around Meaford or anywhere off-road, your insights could be valuable.
Let's keep the discussion going and see if we can connect some dots.
