It’s perplexing how technology and media were so different back in 2003. I recently looked into Candelerio Rodriguez’s case and couldn’t help but wonder how social media might have changed the course of the investigation. Nowadays, we hear about missing person cases all the time, and oftentimes, social networks play a crucial role in spreading awareness quickly. Imagine if his photo went viral or if there were digital traces to follow! It's frustrating that every day, the digital footprint people leave behind helps reconstruct their last movements, but back then it was a different story. Does anyone else think the increased connection we have today with technology could have made a difference if Rodriguez's case had happened now instead of then?
