Has anyone else been following the disappearance of Derrick Wesley Ryde? I was reading some updates and something that caught my attention was the involvement of the Search and Rescue teams. I've always been curious about how these teams operate in such tough terrains like the ones around Salmon Arm. From what I understand, they used a combination of ground teams and aerial support, which sounds like it would cover a wide area quickly. But with Derrick being experienced in living off-grid, it makes me wonder if he might have ended up somewhere even seasoned searchers might overlook. Does anyone know if they have used any special dogs for scent tracking? I imagine Derrick would've been comfortable taking paths less traveled, and I wonder if they could still have his scent after such a long time. This case is such a mystery, and I keep hoping they'll find some clue soon...
