Hey everyone, I've been doing a deep dive into the disappearance of James Stackhouse and stumbled upon something that really piqued my interest. I'm curious about the makeshift raft that James and his companion used. Does anyone have any expertise or insights into how effective logs might be for floatation in such a situation? It seems like they underestimated the water conditions on Lake Winnipeg, with its strong currents and waves. I'm wondering if a different approach or better materials might have changed the outcome.
